Bea  was  meant  to  begin  a  new dynasty

The original plan (to lease a descendant of my pre-2000 lines) had to be abandoned when I ran out of bitches whose owners were willing to lease their bitch out. One that had been offered (an Excellent-graded Champion) suddenly bled profusely instead of having a normal heat, so was hurriedly spayed. Another was about as far from me as one can get without leaving NZ, and had TWO lines to my Gina zur Wolfskammer - but by the time I was able to contact the owner she was moving from the farm into the town and had - just 4 weeks earlier - neutered all her stock ready for the small section ....

So my next plan was to mate PJ ( Ch. Ex.2 Brojan Classic Devil WQ ) to L ulu ( Ex.2 Klausenburg Esspresso ), a Philipp neuen Hauffstraße daughter. But then L ulu's owner was suddenly hospitalised, and so her father cancelled the arrangements we had been making... And  I had to look again....  I had hoped to store some of PJ's semen, but

the specialist who tested his semen said that PJ's sperm was no longer worth freezing, and wouldn't be likely to fertilise any ova unless it was done in the next 3 months. Bum! So I had to look for daughters of PJ. Unfortunately ALL his litters were from bitches who carried a particular stud in their pedigree; that stud produces very showy stock, but fertility is very low from him, and from almost all his descendants. Two such bitches by PJ were offered to me. One was a maiden, the other had had one litter, 5 pups. So I crossed my fingers and made my booking for second choice of her bitch pups. And on 24.5.2012 two pups were born - both bitches. The breeders intended to keep one, which meant that my only choice was to take Bea, or leave her there...  I took her. And they had  Jo-Jo  made-up as a Champion at 14 months of age.

Both have very good hip-scores and perfect elbow-scores.

If you are puzzled by the codes in fawn,  S = Sire,  D = Dam,    so

  SSS = Sire's Sire's Sire, which is the greatgrandfather,  and

 DSD = Dam's Sire's Dam, which is a greatgrandmother.

Bea's litter-sister Jo-Jo went on to become a NZ Grand Champion, like their sire,

                                                   http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/dog.html?id=2025260

                                                                                                                                            and had her first litter shown in  2018.

Bea was shown at only one show, handled by the breeder, and gained VG.7.

She started her 5th "heat" on 13 January 2015, and arrangements were made to mate her. Unfortunately, she then suddenly ended her "heat" (and has yet to decide to have another). Poor fertility and even infertility is always a possibility from close descendants of Ingo vom Frankengold - I knew the risk, but I wanted genes from her dam's sire and that was the only way to get them at that stage, so I took the risk - but Ingo "won", damnit! 👿

And a few months later my left foot was amputated.

So I had to get her breeder to look after her, then I had to recover enough to start looking for another bloodline.... 🤢

She is still alive, in partneship with her breeder, but has been neutered. And in 2021 my right foot was amputated, so I can no longer look after pups or adults.

Jo-Jo was shown until she gained the NZ.Grand Champion title - the first GSD father & daughter NZ Grand Champion pair that I am aware of.

She had one litter - 2 dogs, 1 bitch. Then Jo-Jo was neutered.

Both dogs became NZ.Champions. I'm unsure whether the daughter was exported to the USA or sold as a NZ pet.
