Jeannie had flown to Britain to stay with Ebby's breeders, then go to the Netherlands to collect Mascha, take her to Germany to be mated to Gauner, then return to Britain where Mascha had to undergo quarantine & whelp (and Jeannie had to come home).

We had ordered & pre-paid for pick of the males. But when the litter was born there was just 1 male and 2 bitches - and then Ron annouced that the male was not for sale... So we had to choose one of the bitches. As her sister had "friendly" ears, Liescha became the obvious choice despite her size. And then Ron & Janet decided to divorce, and offered us Gina.

It was decided that Liescha and Gina plus Gina's pup would fly out together & do quarantine together. And THIS time things went according to plan.

Liescha was too big to be worth showing. About the time of her first pregnancy she developed pancreatitis, which meant that from then on she was on a low-fat diet plus enzymes-per-meal, and often her skin itched so badly that she had to be placed on steroids to minimise her chewing holes through her skin. Naturally the steroids affected her ability to get pregnant, but she nevertheless managed 3 litters:

A - 22.8.1980 :  Argus,  Axel,  Attila The Hun,  Asta,  Anya,  Aspe,  Arka

Despite being by the very dark It.&Ned.Yth.Sgr.1977 V Ex.3 Veus von der Waldhang SchH2 (Imp.Ger), the litter were almost as pale as their dam, plus big & solid. And Axel introduced us to panosteitis...

 I - 10.6.1983 :  Ihr Ivan,  Ihr Ivor

Despite being bythe medium-sized Ch. A.Res.GV.1985 Ex.1 Tandina Superbrat (Imp.Aust) BS.Cl.1, both pups were large - AND from somewhere each had a white diamond about a third of the way down his tail; they were both exported as security dogs.

N -  1.2.1984 :  Nutzen Nando, Nadja Nijinsky, Nanni Niedlich

Their sire, Ch. Ex.3 Diomid von Racher BS.Cl.1 (whose sire was V1 Ex.2 Casar von Löhnerring SchH3 (A Imp.Ger)) BEAUTIFULLY produced the darkness that Liescha lacked, and gave me a strong, well-shaped bitch.

My blanket-backed Nadja was top-size, and so BS.Cl.2.

As I was on my own by then I never did get a photo of her. Her wolf-sable LSH son pictured was very similar to her in shape, but she had better fore-quarter angles.

She produced 4 litters for me:

V - 18.12.1985, by VG.1  L orelei Peter Proust.

A - 7.7.1988, by Ex.1 Greenveldt Canto (Imp.UK).

 I - 3.2.1992 & 16.8.1992, by VG.3 L orelei Callme Cwanto BS.Cl.1.

L - 17.3.1994, by VG.3 L orelei Callme Cwanto BS.Cl.1.

Sadly, both my partners for my choices of the V litter let me down. And the pups in the I and L litters were all LSHs at a time when LSHs were still banned.
