I chose "Rella" based on her sound action going-away, and never had reason to regret that choice, although slightly longer fore-legs would have been an asset - in those dying days of the "Alsatian" and in the following period of the "Prick-Eared Basset" it was hard to find a quality dog whose chest-depth was less than the daylight-below-his-chest. All shows available then were either all-breeds shows or with one of the 3 GSD clubs but using all-breeds judges, or

Alsatianist judges from Britain.  She did achieve one CC - the Dog CC that day going to the sire of her first litter.

We called her "Rella" because she was supposed to be registered as either L orelei of High Clear or L arella of High Clear - but when the registration certificate arrived we'd got neither...

A bitch who had a heat every 4 months, she twice failed to conceive to SV Gold Medallist Ch. Yokel of Nerrav (Imp.UK) and, despite a long series of matings at our third attempt, she also failed to conceive to Ch. Burma Star of Marlish (Imp.UK). Her litters were:

for Victory, or for Vilma (Albek GSDs) who managed to get her pregnant:

      -  26.3.1972:   Vetter,   Vogt,   A.Ch. Volker,   Vospar,   Valkyr,   Viksen,   Vogel

Volker went to Australia and had  influence there. We kept Valkyr and Vogel, and each had one litter.

H  - 26.2.1973:   Herrscher,   Held,   Hexen,   Hetze,   Heide

Hexen won Best On Parade at an all-breeds parade judged by a rival breeder, then went to Australia to help advertise her sire. Hetze was our brood, avoiding the "Prick-Eared Basset" look popular at the time.

I   - 31.8.1973:   Insel,   Igel,   Ilex,   Ilk,   Inkasso

Inkasso had some Best Baby In Show wins at all-breeds Ch.Shows, and on Rella's Day 3 sired her last litter:

M  - 12.8.1974:   Mein Mannchen,   Mein Stolz,   Mitchen,   Mein Madchen,   Missy,   Madel

Mein Mannchen was shown by Insel's owner,  for placings at all-breeds shows.
